He has significant success in his career

Murat Günak, who was born in Istanbul, graduated from secondary school in Istanbul and studied industrial design at the Academy of Fine Arts in Kassel, Germany.

Günak, who worked for 2 years in Ford Germany after graduation and later worked as a designer at Mercedes-Benz for 8 years, was appointed to Peugeot as Design Chief in 1994. Günak returned to Mercedes-Benz and DaimlerChrysler in 1998 as Vice President for all passenger cars.

Joining the Volkswagen brand group design team in April 2003 and serving as the Volkswagen Group’s Design Manager on January 1, 2004, Günak was responsible for the design activities of all brands in the group during his tenure.

Among the cars that Günak has designed are Mercedes SLK, Mercedes C Series, Peugeot 206, Volkswagen Eos and Volkswagen Golf GTI.
