What is the CMS? (How does the Commercial Electronic Message Management System (CMS) work?)

Made available by the Ministry of Trade Message Management System (CMS) It is stated that it aims to prevent unauthorized commercial electronic messages from being sent to consumers and to reduce unwanted message traffic.

WHAT IS A MESSAGE MANAGEMENT SYSTEM (CMS)?

Message Management System (CMS)is the national database system where all service providers record their up-to-date commercial electronic message confirmations.

Through the IYS, Buyers (citizens) can either give approval or use their right of refusal for their current approval.

Thanks to the Message Management System, citizens will now be able to easily manage their message permissions from a single point, give approval for the service provider and brand they want, and use the right of rejection if they do not want to receive messages.

With the IYS, the permissions that the service providers must obtain before the commercial electronic messages to be sent to the recipients will be stored in a secure environment, and the buyers will be able to make approval and rejection notifications.

HOW DOES THE MESSAGE MANAGEMENT SYSTEM (CMS) WORK?

All Service Providers who send commercial electronic messages upload their commercial electronic message permissions to the IMS in order to transmit their commercial electronic messages such as marketing, advertising and campaigns to their customers.

Buyers, on the other hand, use their refusal rights for these permissions whenever they want. All commercial electronic mail permissions are stored in the IMS.

Buyers can view that the service provider or its brand is permitted to send commercial electronic messages, and when necessary, they can edit the permissions they give to the service providers for each channel (call, message and e-mail) via the IMS.

All these transactions are made on a single platform via iys.org.tr.

When service providers want to send commercial messages through any channel, the permissions granted by the citizens can be checked through the IYS in various ways, and only those who have given permission can be sent.

In cases where the rejection right is used, these messages are not sent to the recipients who have used the right of rejection, thanks to the IYS filter.

With the IYS, it will be possible to quickly resolve the complaints of citizens regarding commercial electronic message approvals.
