UAE, (DHA) – The United Arab Emirates’ (UAE) ‘Hope Spacecraft’ (Hope Probe) reached the red planet last Tuesday as part of the Emirati Mars Mission and successfully entered orbit on its first attempt. ‘Hope’ sent the first photo from Mars to the world.
WE WILL REVIEW MARS ATMOSPHERE
The arrival of the spacecraft on Mars made the UAE only the fifth country in history to reach the red planet and the first in the Arab world. The spacecraft equipped with three scientific instruments will create the first full portrait of the Martian atmosphere. The devices found in Umut will collect atmospheric data and will also measure seasonal and daily changes. These data will help scientists understand how climate dynamics and weather conditions are in different layers of the Martian atmosphere. Experts also hope to learn more about energy and how particles (oxygen and hydrogen) move through the Martian atmosphere.
