Two friends in Bursa produced the motorcycle named ‘Kaplumbike’

Yusuf Kula, who works as a lathe at the Beşevler Küçük Sanayi Sitesi in Bursa, and Alihan Yılmaz, who is engaged in industrial electrical work, manufactured a motorcycle with a unique design, which they call “Kaplumbike”.

Two friends, who saw motorcycles of different designs on a website, operated the motorcycle, which was powered by an anchor engine and weighed only 60 kilograms, in a lathe shop in 1.5 months.

The motorcycle, which uses the fenders of Volkswagen brand classic cars, also known as “vosvos” and “tortoises” on the body part, can reach speeds of 50 kilometers per hour.

Yusuf Kula, 23, who is preparing to apply for a patent for the motorcycle they call “Kaplumbike”, told Anadolu Agency (AA) that they started to work inspired by exemplary designs abroad.

Stating that they worked for days to make the most beautiful one, Kula said:

“For the mug part of the motorcycle, the mold was prepared from the ‘vosvos’ fender and made with fiber material. We cast the mug out of fiber and painted it black. We put a ‘Turtle’ because it looks like a turtle. They asked how we did it. There were visitors to our workshop. “

Kula stated that they aim to produce the electric model of the motorcycle in the next period.

Alihan Yılmaz (24) stated that the motorcycle is powered by a gasoline powered 4-stroke internal combustion engine.
