In his statement, Baykar Technical Manager Selçuk Bayraktar said, “Our goal is to make the first flight of the MİUS prototype, which we developed with my young engineer and technician brothers, on the 100th anniversary of our Republic. To be a leader in technology by preparing for the races of the future today.” Bayraktar said, “Today is the day of Arafah. Since I saw many questions about the surprise we will announce tomorrow, I am shooting this short video to be published after the surprise is announced on the first day of the holiday. We have been dreaming of our Unmanned Combat Aircraft (MIUS) project for more than 12 years. Our work has gained momentum in the last period with the maturity of our project. We share the ongoing conceptual designs of this project we have developed. We are currently carrying out development studies in this area around the world. It is predicted that unmanned warplanes will change the concept of air combat, just like our SİHAs, and will replace the 5th generation warplanes in the future. We are running our MİUS project with our own resources, just like Bayraktar TB3.”


“MIUS will operate at a cruising speed close to the speed of sound,” said Selçuk Bayraktar, “The next prototypes will be supersonic by exceeding the speed of sound. It will have an ammunition and payload capacity of close to 1.5 tons. Air-Air, Air-Ground smart missiles and cruise missiles. It will be able to carry its ammunition in the hull so that the radar has a less visible design. It can also carry its ammunition under the wing in missions where radar invisibility is not at the forefront. Another important aspect that will create a large force multiplier from other prototypes developed in this field in the world is landing from short-runway ships in the TCG Anadolu class. “We aim to take off from TCG Anadolu without the aid of a catapult. It will be able to land on the ship with the help of catch cables and hooks,” he said.


Selçuk Bayraktar said, “The element that distinguishes our aircraft from other unmanned warplanes in the world is its vertical tails and the horizontal control surfaces we call the canard in the front. Thanks to these control surfaces, it will have aggressive maneuvering capability. Thus, thanks to the artificial intelligence computers that we have developed for avoidance, avoidance and close combat maneuvers, autonomous as can do.

MIUSs with different capabilities will be able to work together with friendly warplanes thanks to the smart fleet autonomy equipped with artificial intelligence. Thanks to the same smart fleet autonomy capability, MIUS will also fight against the last generation manned warplanes with higher capacity. I think it will break new ground in air combat with all the advantages of unmanned combat, smart fleet autonomy and cost-effectiveness.
