Hackers will push the boundaries with advanced real-life cyber attack scenarios prepared under the guidance of the world’s leading experts in the competition organized by the Digital Transformation Office within the scope of the TEKNOFEST Aviation, Space and Technology Festival.
Hackers can participate in the contest individually or in teams of up to 4 people. Hack Istanbul, whose deadline applications will be made until June 30, 2021, will be carried out in 3 stages.
Contestants will challenge their skills in different fields such as web security, cryptography, forensics and reverse engineering during the 24-hour pre-selection phase on July 16. The successful teams will successfully complete both the online and offline phases of the 18-hour CTF competition with different levels of difficulty and complexity in the second phase, which will be held on July 30th. The online phase will include topics such as binary analysis, cryptography, reverse engineering, web security, forensics, shorthand, OSINT, mobile phone and programming capabilities.
The tough struggle will end with the grand final stage to be held at Istanbul Atatürk Airport on September 24-25. The top 10 teams that won the CTF in the final of Hack Istanbul will compete in Istanbul at the TEKNOFEST Aviation, Space and Technology Festival, and the winners are expected to receive their awards from President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan.

TEKNOFEST, which aims to raise awareness about technology and science in the whole society and to increase the human resources trained in the fields of science and engineering in Turkey, continues to offer opportunities for young people to work on the technologies of the future.
Teams that are qualified to compete and rank in TEKNOFEST will be awarded more than 5 million TL.
The TEKNOFEST Aviation, Space and Technology Festival is organized by the Turkish Technology Team Foundation and the Ministry of Industry and Technology with 71 stakeholder institutions, including Turkey’s leading technology companies, public institutions, media organizations and universities. TEKNOFEST will be held in Istanbul on September 21-26.
