Good news for the domestic aircraft was given by TUSAŞ General Manager Temel Kotil. Temel Kotil evaluated the latest situation of TAI’s projects in the program What is Happening on CNN TÜRK. Emphasizing that the most important goal is “to produce a National Fighter Aircraft”, Kotil stated that 1.3 billion dollars were allocated for the Phase-1 study of the project. “It will be completed in 2023, it will be in the air in 2025,” said Kotil, who gave a date for the National Combat Aircraft.

Following removal of the eyes of Turkey’s F-35 program has been translated into improvements in indigenous fighter aircraft. Explaining the point reached for the National Combat Aircraft, TUSAŞ General Manager Temel Kotil announced that local jet production will be made at the place that makes the middle body for the F-35. He stated that 6 thousand more engineers are needed for the project: I will make the F-35 the middle body of the national combatant instead of the middle body. 6 thousand engineers will be experienced warplanes in this aircraft project, we are currently collecting them from around the world. Now we are building the hangar, it will end at the end of this year.

Kotil said that they are making efforts to produce the domestic aircraft with all their strength. Reminding that a budget of 1.3 billion dollars was allocated for the prototype of the national warplane, Kotil emphasized that the cost of the plane would be much cheaper than the F-35s.

Temel Kotil, who also gave a date for the National Combat Aircraft, said, “It will be completed in 2023, it will be in the air in 2025”.

Prof. Dr. Temel Kotil announced that it has implemented a similar embargo on UAVs by Canada for electronic warfare special mission aircraft. He also gave information about the Lightning Target Drone:

Our Lightning Target Drone is also a kamikaze plane. We produce 100 units a year. There is 5kg of explosive on it. We leave Aksungur and hit its target from 200 km.

TUSAŞ General Manager Kotil said that they could not export the Atak helicopter on the grounds that the USA did not give an engine permit. He stated that they will overcome the problem by attaching a Ukrainian engine to the new Atak helicopter.
