It was claimed that the deadly and contagious coronavirus (Covid-19) variant of the United States of America (USA) was found in California. In the first studies, it was stated that the new variant is partially resistant to antibodies.
In a study conducted by the University of San Francisco in California (UCSF) of the United States (USA), it was stated that the newly detected coronavirus variant was more deadly and more dangerous in terms of contagiousness. Some experts said more data were needed to come to a clear conclusion about the variant.

Eric Topol, founder and director of the Scripps Research Institute, said on his social media account that before the study was published, it was problematic to mark the variant as ‘dangerous’ and that although the variant in question was common, hospitalizations and deaths fell in coronavirus cases.
