Microsoft’s $ 51 billion in Pinterest interest

Microsoft, one of the world’s largest companies and technology companies, sat down with the company to buy the social media platform Pinterest for $ 51 billion.

It is stated that there is no result from the talks that have been going on for a few weeks. Pinterest recently stated in a statement that it wants to remain independent.

If this deal is completed with a valuation of $ 51 billion, Microsoft will have made its largest acquisition to date. Microsoft bought Linkedin for $ 26.2 billion in 2016.

In its recently announced quarter report, Pinterest announced that the number of users increased by 100 million in 2020 and that the company’s quarterly revenue grew by 76% annually. The company, which increased its market value by 600% in 2020, was established in 2009.

Pinterest has 450 million users globally. Announcing $ 706 million in revenue in the last quarter of 2020, Pinterest managed to exceed expectations in this area with $ 58 million.

Microsoft recently made a move to buy another social network TikTok, but TikTok’s top company was turned down by Chinese ByteDance.

Founded by Bill Gates and Paul Allen in 1975, Microsoft now has a market value of $ 1.8 trillion.
