Johnson and Johnson recalls some sunscreens

It has been stated that the use of benzene, a chemical that can cause cancer in continuous exposure, in sunscreens is dangerous for health.

Johnson and Johnson’s Aveeno Protect Pefresh, Beach Defense, CoolDry Sport, Invisible Daily Defense and UltraSheer aerosol sunscreens, which were found to contain benzene, were removed from the shelves.

In the statement made by the pharmaceutical company, it was stated that as a result of tests carried out by an independent laboratory, it was determined that the products contain benzene and that it was investigated how the said chemical entered the products.

The pharmaceutical giant has warned that the use of sunscreens should be stopped immediately.
