iOS 14.5 is released! Here’s what’s new

US-based technology giant Apple has released the highly anticipated iOS 14.5 and iPadOS 14.5 update.

With the update, many new features have been integrated into iPhones and iPads. The most striking of these was Application Monitoring Transparency.

Thanks to this feature, the only way that an application installed on your device can be tracked or not is to get your approval.

Apple made an update in this area after the masks that came into our lives with the pandemic. Thanks to iOS 14.5, users will be able to unlock the screen with the ‘Unlock with Apple Watch’ feature while wearing a mask.

More than 200 emoji have been added to the devices with the new update. For iPhone 12 models, 5G support was introduced in dual SIM mode.

Within the scope of the update, Apple added support for the tracking device AirTag, which it introduced at the Spring Loaded event.

iPhone models that support iOS 14.5 are as follows; iPhone 12 family, iPhone 11 family, iPhone X series, iPhone 8 family, iPhone 7 family and iPhone 6 family. The update can also be installed on first and second generation iPhone SE models.
