In the study, in which the interest in electric vehicles in the world increased every year, it was stated that the number of electric vehicles using electric vehicles reached 4.79 million as of 2019, and 1.5 million battery-powered electric vehicles were added to the worldwide fleet in 2019. In the research, it was recorded that the use of battery-powered electric vehicles was 110 thousand in 2012, this number increased to 720 thousand in 2015 and 1.18 million in 2016.


The world’s best-selling battery electric vehicle was announced as Tesla’s Model 3. In the first quarter of 2020, Tesla delivered 88,400 vehicles, while the largest market for electric vehicles is in China, the research stated that there are 44,291 electric and hybrid cars in Turkey.
