TikTok, the world’s leading short video platform, has updated its comment filtering feature, which it has developed with a ‘zero tolerance against cyberbullying’ approach to provide a safe and positive application experience for its users.

The comment filtering feature designed by TikTok to reduce the effects of cyberbullying, which is seen as one of the biggest problems of the online world and to encourage courtesy, allowed users to block and manage the expressions they did not want to encounter in the comments word by word. With the update, the option to filter all comments before they are published has also been added to the feature.

Users, with the option of Filter All Comments; They will examine each comment coming to their content one by one and decide whether the comments they want remain under the content and delete what they do not want. TikTok, which gives users more control over their own accounts with comment filtering, offers its users the opportunity to prevent the publication of comments that violate the Community Rules on the platform.

Julie de Bailiencourt, Head of Product Policy for TikTok EMEA, said on the update: “Our goal is to provide our community with a fun and safe app experience that they can enjoy every day. Content producers make an incredible effort while preparing their content. We also think it’s important to provide our community with tools to help them control their experiences. “We want TikTok to continue to be a place where creativity can flourish, and we hope these new features help develop kindness in society.”

The comment filtering feature that TikTok provides to its users is located in the “Privacy Settings” section of the application.

With the security options in the application, users can keep their accounts private, approve their followers, and allow the content they share to be watched only by their followers. TikTok can also provide protections such as limited viewing mode, in-app reporting. The Terms of Use section also conveys the details in the finest detail for the correct use of the application and inappropriate sharing.
