As a matter of fact, this effort and our efforts paid off. In the 4th investment period, the localization rate in hardware and software exceeded 23 percent. Certificated product investment amount increased to 662 million lira. That is, we recorded a 44% increase in localization compared to the previous period. Nearly 153 different products were procured from 66 different manufacturers, but we will increase this product range further in the coming period. “
Domestic and national 5G studies continue
Karaismailoğlu stated that they developed the domestic and national production ecosystem in the electronic communications sector and established the Communication Technologies Cluster (HTK) in 2017.
Karaismailoğlu emphasized that the country’s hardware and software needs on the way to 5G technology with the participation of 14 companies and 3 mobile operators who are members of the cluster should be met with domestic and national means, and that they continue the “End-to-End Domestic and National 5G Communication Network Project” they have developed for this purpose with the support of TÜBİTAK. told.
Karaismailoğlu underlined that the 5G core network, 5G base station, 5G-specific management, service and operation software products, which are critical for 5G infrastructures, are developed with local and national facilities, and said, “As our President emphasized, we will switch to the 5G system with local and national opportunities and We are proud. The first phase of our project will be completed in March. Our work on other phases is continuing. When we complete all phases, we will switch to 5G with the fluff of our forehead. ” he spoke.

Karaismailoğlu stated that Global Telekom ve Entegre Teknolojileri AŞ (GTENT), which was founded by 10 companies that undertake important tasks in the 5G project, has undertaken a major task in commercializing the developed products and carrying out branding activities from a single source and increasing the opportunities for cooperation.
