Astronauts and cosmonauts who stayed at the ISS for 6 months returned to the world

NASA astronaut Kate Rubins, Russian cosmonauts Sergey Rıjikov and Sergey Kud-Svrechkov, who stayed in the ISS for 6 months, returned to earth in Soyuz MS-17 spacecraft. Astronaut Kate Rubins, who took a photo of Lake Van, the winner of the competition held on NASA’s official website, landed with cosmonauts at 10.55 local time on a steppe, about 150 kilometers from the Kazakh city of Jezkazgan. It was reported that astronauts and cosmonauts carried out 44 different experiments in the fields of medicine, space biology and biotechnology for 6 months at the ISS.
On the other hand, preparations started to host Astronaut Rubins, who made a great contribution to the promotion of Van with the first place in the photograph. Van Yüzüncü Yıl University (YYU) Rector Prof. Dr. Hamdullah Şevli said that together with the Governor’s Office, they invited Astronaut Kate Rubins, who is currently on a space mission, to the city. Prof. Dr. Şevli stated that they reserved a very beautiful Van cat for Rubins in the Van Cat Villa.
