A centrally registered e-mail directory will be established.

A central registered electronic mail (KEP) directory will be established by the Information Technologies and Communications Authority (BTK) and will be operated by ensuring its confidentiality, integrity and accessibility.

BTK’s Communiqué Amending the Communiqué on Registered Electronic Mail Directory and Registered Electronic Mail Account Addresses was published in the Official Gazette and entered into force.

Accordingly, the central KEP directory will be established by the institution and will be operated by ensuring its confidentiality, integrity and accessibility.

The procedures and principles regarding the establishment, management and operation of the central KEP directory and the obligations of registered e-mail service providers (KEPHS) within this scope will be determined by the institution.

KEPHS’s will be responsible for keeping the KEP guide up to date in real time, taking the necessary measures to integrate with the central KEP guide and working in harmony with this guide, establishing and operating the infrastructure. Registered e-mail service providers will record all changes in their KEP directory records in the central KEP directory in an accurate, complete and understandable manner.

Registered e-mail account inquiry and verification processes will be carried out by the sender from the central KEP directory through the KEPHS service.

Other services and applications that can be provided from the central KEP directory will be determined by the K-institution.

KEPHS will be obliged to keep the transaction records of all transactions made from the central KEP directory for the period determined by the relevant legislation.
