MacKenzie Scott, the ex-wife of Jeff Bezos, the founder of Amazon and considered the richest person in the world, announced that he has donated approximately $2.8 billion to hundreds of organizations this year.

In his post on Medium, Scott stated that he and his team supported nonprofit organizations and teams “working in neglected areas” in the first quarter of 2021.

Scott said they have donated $2.739 million to 286 high-impact organizations in the historically underfunded and overlooked categories.
